Following the publication of the report of the school’s Ofsted inspection, the Governing Board was replaced by an Interim Executive Board (IEB) whose members were appointed by the Local Authority and approved by the Department for Education. The IEB carries out all the statutory functions of a governing body. The IEB does not have sub-committees but meets regularly to fulfil the range of functions usually carried out by such sub-committees.’

I have 33 years’ experience in primary education, special needs, safeguarding and the educational provision for Looked After children, both as a teacher and a senior leader. I am committed to all children at Brackensdale having an outstanding education and as Vice Chair of the Interim Executive Board, am enjoying playing an active role in the school’s transformative journey.
